Control of Beaver and Muskrat-Related Activities
In accordance with Massachusetts General Law c. 131, s. 80A, residents affected by flooding caused by beaver and muskrat-related activities may be alleviated through an emergency permitting process with the board of health. Please refer to this guidance document for more information.
To apply for a 10-Day Emergency Permit, please complete and submit the application form. You may also need consent from the property owner where the beaver dam is located. Please keep in mind that the cost associated to properly alleviate the flooding is the responsibility of the affected party, not the property owner where the beaver dam is located.
